IP, IBP

Reads input from the user terminal into a specified buffer or select list.

Synopsis

IP [prompt] reference
IBP [prompt] reference

Arguments

prompt Optional — The prompt character.
reference A reference to a buffer or a select list. A reference must begin with a %, !, &, or # character, followed by a number (%2), or followed by another of the four reference characters (%%).

Description

The IP PROC command is used to read input from the user terminal into the specified buffer or select list.
